NJ’s very own rising country stars, Not Leaving Sober, had a 2022 to remember, opening for Country music legends such as Morgan Wallen, Jordan Davis, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Chris Lane & more. Not Leaving Sober was named one of NJ.com’s “New Jersey Artists You Need to Hear in 2023”, and it’s easy to see why.
Hailing from the Jersey shore, this 5-piece outfit has seamlessly created their own lane in the Country-Southern Rock genre: From the devil-may-care attitude to the angelic vocal harmonies, there are two things you are guaranteed to find — unique and infectious choruses and absolutely electric, rowdy, live performances.
Not Leaving Sober’s niche is a breath of fresh air in a sea of musical regularity — bluesy solos combined with witty, often audacious lyrics and a dash of hip hop that is surprisingly complementary. Their mission: Chronicle their lifestyle on the Jersey shore — partying, performing and barely getting by, while also bringing some of Nashville’s magic home to NJ.
As 95.9 The WRAT said, “Not Leaving Sober won’t be leaving the scene any time soon. Having built a following through acclaimed in-person performances, off-the-wall antics, and a great social media presence, they are a true grass roots success story”.
Since the start of 2021, Country’s rowdy misfits have performed shows alongside the likes of some of Country music’s biggest names: Morgan Wallen, Zac Brown Band, Jordan Davis, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Carrie Underwood, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jon Pardi, HARDY, Jimmie Allen, Jon Langston to go along with a performance at Nashville’s famous artist showcase, Whiskey Jam. 2023 marks their third year performing at Barefoot Country Music Fest. With over 500,000 streams on Spotify and coverage from Raised Rowdy, Asbury Park Press, NJ.com, 95.9 WRAT & Cat Country 107.3, the band is “quickly becoming a household name, not only in New Jersey, but in Nashville, and is absolutely thriving.
