Growing up on a rural farm in North Carolina, and being raised on country favorites like George Strait and Conway Twitty, Tim Cifers has a strong traditional country influence, and appreciation for it. In 2007, Tim won 1st place in the famous Longbranch Saloon talent competition. The top prize landed him the opportunity to open for country’s Little Texas. With a successful event, Tim and his band were soon a favorite in the Raleigh area, and earned more chances to open for top acts such as Justin Moore, and Luke Bryan.
In 2011 Tim entered Fox’s The X Factor USA where he performed for star judges, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and LA Reid. With several impressive performances he won over the judges, producers, audiences of thousands, and even one guest judge, Rhianna. Tim finished 5th in the men’s category giving him an overall finish in the top 20 out of 200,000+ contestants.
Tim is currently under management with Heritage Global Music Group LLC. His debut single “Country Born” is available on iTunes, and currently has 25,000+ airplays via mainstream, and internet radio.
