The Carolina Country Music fest is honored to recognize Teacher Appreciation Week as part of our #CCMFBeKind initiative. Each year, the first week of May is dedicated to honoring and recognizing our educators. This year the #CCMFBeKind crew recognized three teachers that have greatly impacted the Myrtle Beach community by gifting them with (2) four day passes to the highly anticipated Carolina Country Music Fest.
#CCMFBeKind is an initiative utilized to recognize those who simply take the initiative to be kind to others. Whether it be a kind gesture, a good deed or simply a smile that exudes positive energy, CCMF wants to recognize you. Stay tuned throughout the event to see us recognize CCMF fans across the globe with the #CCMFBeKind movement.
This year’s winners were Jessica Miller, a special education teacher from Myrtle Beach Middle; Cynthia Lehr, a 10th and 11th grade teacher from Socastee High; and Patrick Burnett, a 5th grade teacher from Ocean Bay Elementary. You can read all about it here.
Quotes from the winners:
“There really are people out there that want to show their appreciation for teachers. So, something like this is just an amazing contribution to the motivation behind teachers and why they come to school every day knowing that some people in the community really do recognize what they do,” Lehr said.
“To be the person that was selected is such an honor. It was cool that you got my class to come and help with the surprise, and you guys surprised me too. I’m very grateful and thankful, and I can’t wait to go. Thank you,” Miller said.
“I don’t really look for the rewards. I’m more of a person that just shows up. I’m obviously here for the kids and my colleagues and the parents, but to receive this reward is pretty neat. The rewards don’t really define who I am, it’s more about what I do on a daily basis for the kids,” Burnett said.
