CCMF Will Headline with One of Carolina’s Own

Darius Rucker to Headline Carolina Country

South Carolina’s own to take the stage at third annual oceanfront music fest

CHARLOTTE, NC (Nov. 4, 2016) – Carolina Country (CCMF), in conjunction with Full House Productions (FHP) and Visit Myrtle Beach, announce today that three-time GRAMMY® Award winner Darius Rucker will headline the 2017 oceanfront music festival, June 8-11.

Charleston-born, Rucker’s musical approach takes the country genre back to its roots. In his fourth solo album as a country artist, “Southern Style,” Rucker showcases his range and tests his vocal limits with music true to the region and traditions in his self-proclaimed “country-est” record yet. Rucker’s first three albums all topped Billboard’s Country Album chart, producing six No. 1 singles including “Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It,” “It Won’t Be Like This For Long,” “Alright” and “Wagon Wheel.”

“It is important to CCMF not only to host country’s hottest artists, but to also host artists from the Carolinas – specifically South Carolina,” said Bob Durkin, President of FHP. “Being that he was born and raised in Charleston, S.C., Darius Rucker’s Southern energy will represent CCMF’s Carolina roots well.”

Tickets for CCMF are available now and can be purchased here. For accommodations or more information about Myrtle Beach, go to www.VisitMyrtleBeach.com.
