In response to the recent news that Kenny Chesney will Headline at the 2017 Carolina Country Music Festival, Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, issued the following statement:
“To say that today’s announcement that Kenny Chesney will headline at CCMF is sensational news, is an understatement! We cannot help but also be excited knowing that this is the first of many announcements about a lineup of extraordinary artists that will grace our stage in June.
From the time we went after bringing this great event to Myrtle Beach, in particular to fill a void during a critical time period in our shoulder season, we’ve had high hopes that it would just keep growing. The caliber of artists that Bob Durkin and his team consistently draws in is helping to do just that. Thanks to the growth of CCMF, combined with more nonstop flights to and from our airport, we are well on our way to meeting our goal of 20 million visitors by the year 2020.”
