Tidelands Health to serve as official health care system for Carolina Country Music Fest
When tens of thousands of people descend on Myrtle Beach for the Carolina Country Music Fest in a few weeks, they’ll benefit from the expertise of the region’s largest health care provider.
Tidelands Health is serving as the official health care system of the festival, one of the largest events in the Myrtle Beach area each year. The health system will serve as the go-to source for concert-related health and wellness information before and during the event.
“Since its launch in 2015, the Carolina Country Music Fest has become one of the most anticipated events of the year in our region,” said Bruce Bailey, president and CEO of Tidelands Health. “We’re excited about the opportunity to be part of such a tremendous experience for so many people.”
Scheduled from June 6-9, the music festival is expected to attract at least 30,000 people to watch more than 30 country artists including Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line, Randy Houser, Morgan Evans, Travis Denning, Gyth Rigdon, Dee Jay Silver and Alabama.
As festivalgoers enjoy themselves, Tidelands Health will help them take care of themselves, too. In advance of CCMF, attendees will be able to find useful health and wellness information through email blasts from event organizers, via social media channels and on MyCarolinaLife.com, a leading source within the region for health information.
The tips will continue during the event on the jumbo screens at the festival. Tidelands Health representatives will also be on site throughout the event to distribute health and wellness information.
“Carolina Country Music Fest promises to be a great event, but it’s important to remember that health and wellness don’t stop when the music starts,” said Ashley Capps, associate vice president of nursing operations for the health system. “Whether it’s protecting yourself from the sun or staying properly hydrated, it’s important to take care of yourself so you can get the most out of the experience.”
Carolina Country Musical Fest organizers said the addition of Tidelands Health as official health care system brings a new level of benefit to festivalgoers.
“We are proud to announce our newest partner, Tidelands Health, one of South Carolina’s premier health care providers,” said Bob Durkin, president of Carolina Country Music Fest. “While we are always focused on providing a phenomenal festival experience, the safety of our patrons is our ultimate priority. The safety tips and support Tidelands Heath offers is invaluable for CCMF.”
The health system’s involvement in CCMF is a continuation of its support for major local events. Most recently, the health system served as the official medical provider for the Hurricane Florence Benefit Concert and as the official health care provider for the Wings Over Myrtle Beach Air Show.
