With three No. 1 songs, a gold-selling debut album and an award from ACM for New Vocal Group/Duo of the Year, Old Dominion’s rise to fame has taken the country music industry by storm. Their unique music combines that old-fashioned, county feel with some hard-hitting, rock n’ roll sounds that transform into lyrical, pop masterpieces that we just can’t get enough of.
Old Dominion’s members, Matthew Ramsey (lead vocals), Trevor Rosen (guitar, keyboards), Whit Sellers (drums), Geoff Sprung (bass guitar) and Brad Tursi (guitar) formed Old Dominion after college in Nashville, Tennessee. The band originally formed to showcase each member’s songs, but today their combined musical genius has us truly believing that there is “No Such Thing as a Broken Heart” when you’re a country music fan.
Their debut studio album, Meat and Candy, includes the singles “Break Up with Him”, “Snapback” and “Song for Another Time.” It was named RIAA-certified GOLD and called a “deceptively smart, occasionally cheeky, stellar debut,” by Entertainment Weekly. The band’s sophomore album, Happy Endings, features the hit single “No Such Thing as a Broken Heart” and was released earlier this year.
